Adriano is one of our newest parks, situated close to Ravenna on Italy’s east coast. It offers a superb getaway for families with its sandy beach location and sociable atmosphere welcoming families from all over Europe. Adriano campsite is also just a short walk to Punta Marina’s beachside restaurants and bars, and there’s plenty of [...]

IT MAY seem an odd suggestion for those heading towards a region world-renowned for its canals but, if you’re heading for the Venetian Riviera next summer, you’ll be needing a bike. We spent two days of our seven-day holiday to Pra Delle Torri, in the Venetian Riviera, riding bikes around the region. Why? Because there [...]

My gang has been guests of Thomson Al Fresco for the past two summers. We’ve enjoyed lazy summer days and lovely hazy nights at their parcs Pra Delle Torri in Caorle on the Venetian Riviera and Castell Montgri Estartit in Northern Spain. We wouldn’t swap those weeks for the world. And we’ve learned a thing [...]

I’m off to Italy in this week. It can’t have changed that much since I was last there in 1982 can it? I imagine the Leaning Tower of Pisa probably looks a little smaller than it did when I was 15, after all I’ve grown a bit since then. But, other than that, it’s going [...]

Hi Pauline Just thought I would let you know what a great week-end Pra delle Torri has had. On 3-5 June, we had the 19th National Meeting of the “Lambretta and Vespa Club”, which meant over a hundred bikes (some with side cars) visiting the site and parading around it. It was a fantastic free [...]

I have been on 3 Thomson Al Fresco holidays and am due to go on my fourth back to Union Lido which is my favourite. The beauty of Union Lido is that it combines a beachfront location and a choice of swimming pools , on top of all that the beautiful city of Venice is [...]

Gerald Heffernan discovered a fantastic beach in Tuscany on his holiday and has won a beach bag in the process.. “I recently discovered a gem of a beach at San Vincenzo, Tuscany, Italy, just a short walk from Park Albatros. It’s a great stretch of sandy shoreline with glorious views over the med. It has [...]

Our reps often organise events on the campsites. For the Royal Wedding, Jackie and Ralph had the job of judging the mobile-home-made cards competition. Children and parents alike thoroughly enjoyed the activity. For some, it can be a difficult choice between family activities and the challenge of the beautiful golf course.
